Václav Havel was a Czech writer and dissident who became one of the most respected moral voices of the 20th century.  In his famous essay, The Power of the Powerless, Havel explains a timeless truth: When systems lose integrity, they don’t only rely on force...they rely on participation.
Not dramatic participation. Quiet participation. Everyday compromise.

Havel’s message is simple, and uncomfortable:  The greatest power ordinary people have is the decision to live in truth.
To stop performing what they don’t believe. To stop repeating what they know is false. And last, to stop cooperating with corruption just to “get by.”
